About this course
The Diploma of Information Technology is our most popular qualification and the one most students start with. You choose a specialisation stream — networking, programming or cyber security — after a common first term, so you are not asked to commit before you have tried the work. Teaching is in small classes with a maximum of 24 students. Every unit is assessed through practical tasks on real equipment rather than written exams, and you leave with a portfolio you can show an employer.
Who it is for
School leavers who want a faster, more hands-on route into IT than a degree. Career changers with no formal IT background. International students seeking a recognised Australian qualification with a degree pathway.
Where it leads
IT support officer, help desk analyst, junior network administrator, junior developer, systems support. Graduates who continue with us enter the Bachelor of Information Technology with one year of credit.
Entry requirements
Year 12 or equivalent, or mature-age entry with relevant work experience. International students need IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.0) or equivalent, or completion of our Upper Intermediate English level.
Fees
Domestic students: $9,600 total. International students: $16,400 total. Fees cover tuition, assessment and access to campus facilities. There is no separate enrolment or materials fee.
Fees are payable by instalment, one per study period, and the schedule is set out in your written offer before you accept it.
