About this course

General English runs continuously in five-week blocks, so you can start most Mondays rather than waiting for a semester. A placement test on your first day puts you in the right level — we would rather move you than have you sit in a class that is too easy or too hard, and we re-test at the end of every block. Completing Upper Intermediate meets the English entry requirement for our Diploma of Information Technology; completing Advanced meets it for the Bachelor of Information Technology. That means no IELTS test is required if you study with us first.

Who it is for

International students preparing for further study in Australia. Working holiday and visitor visa holders. Anyone who needs everyday English for work and life rather than an exam score.

Where it leads

Direct entry to our VET and higher education programs without an external English test. Improved workplace English for customer-facing and team roles.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirement. Students are placed by a test on the first day. Minimum age 18.

Fees

Domestic students: $330 per week. International students: $390 per week. Fees cover tuition, assessment and access to campus facilities. There is no separate enrolment or materials fee.

Fees are payable by instalment, one per study period, and the schedule is set out in your written offer before you accept it.

These figures are invented. ACME Education is a demonstration company, so the fees, dates and registration codes on this page are placeholders rather than a real provider's published schedule.
